Firmware Requirement:
- for vision 20W/40W: 2.0.24 or above
- for vision pro 45W: no particular firmware version required
- for vista-10w: no particular firmware version required.
Main Benefit: Larger Material Processing Capability; able to engrave below grate/bottom tray level
Similar to laser flat mode, the overall processing procedure remains the same, however, there are a few key points we would like to draw your attention to.
Note:
In Laser Flat mode, the maximum processing thickness/height is:

When using manual focus, the thickness should be measured starting from the laser beds, for example, a 3mm basswood is put on the laser beds, so the thickness should be 3.
Similarly, in Free Plane mode, you can either use auto-focus or manually enter distance, the whole procedure is exactly the same. However, the way to measure distance is different.
