Why is the material width supported by using Pass-through Feeder different from the material width supported when using the Vision laser individually?

  • Specifications
  Vision 40W Vision 20W
Working width 400mm (15.75″) 420mm (16.54″)
Working width with Pass-through Feeder 375mm (14.76”) 378mm (14.88”)

  • The reasons are as follows:

1. The optimal processing distance, which is the distance between the bottom of the laser head and the surface of the material, is 40mm. Therefore, when using with the pass-through feeder, the laser head must be lowered to the transport mode height.

2. Due to the constraints of the frame around the bottom of the laser machine, the area in which the laser head can move back and forth at the bottom is smaller than the area in the middle of the laser machine.

3. The size of the laser head varies with different Vision lasers, so the distance between the laser output port at the bottom of the laser head and the laser machine’s bottom frame will also differ.
